Training and coaching

We have an active training programme for all club members, in both the summer and winter months.

Winter Training – 2024

We are pleased to confirm the timings for the Ansty CC Winter Training and Coaching Programme for seniors, women and girls, juniors and Super 1s.

Seniors

During the winter our men’s squad will train on Monday evenings, 20.00 – 22.00 hours, in the Main Sports Hall at the Warden Park School, Broad Street, Haywards Heath RH17 5DP for six sessions from Monday 19th February to Monday 15th April 2024.  Please see the table below.  Note there are no sessions on 26^th February 4^th March and 1^st April.

Coaching sessions are led by Jamie Parker (1st XI Captain) with support from experienced coaches.

Women and Girls

Our women’s and girl’s squads will train on Sunday mornings 10.00 – 12.00 hours, also in the Main Sports Hall at the Warden Park School, Broad Street, Haywards Heath RH17 5DP.  There are six sessions starting on Sunday 18th February and running through to 14^th April 2023. See the table below for all dates.  Note there are no sessions on 25^th February, 3^th March, and 31^st March and 1^st April.

Timings are dependent on squads and age groups:

Women and girls (all age groups)         Softball            10.00 to 11.00

Women and girls (u13 and u15)           Hardball           11.00 to 12.00

The sessions will be led by Dave Burt, John Thorpe, Sally Watling, with support from experienced coaches.

Juniors

Junior winter training takes places on Saturday afternoons 13.00 – 17.00 hours in the Main Sports Hall at the Warden Park School, Broad Street, Haywards Heath RH17 5DP.  There are five sessions starting on Saturday 17th February and running through to 12th April 2024.  excluding 11th and 25th March.  See the table below for all dates.  Note there are no sessions on 24^th February, 2^nd March, 24^th March, and 30^th March.

The timing of the individual age group sessions will be advised in due course.

The coaching will be led by the team of age group mangers – Steve Kent, Domonic Blyth, and Rob Scott, with support from experienced coaches.

Super 1s

Our programme of cricket for young disabled cricketers has been running from  October 2023.

The 2024 indoor programme restarted on Saturday mornings 10.00 – 11.30 hours from the 7th January in Main Sports Hall at the Warden Park School, Broad Street, Haywards Heath RH17 5DP.

Our Super 1s coaching is delivered by Dominic Mamoany, Ronnie Donno, and other Sussex Cricket Foundation coaches.

 

Join Us for Training & Coaching

All members (juniors & seniors) are free to allocate their nominated training / coaching session without the need to sign up in advance.  There is no charge for the session, the cost being covered as part of the annual subscription.

New members are welcome to come along!
