Junior Cricket

Ansty Cricket Club has a proven track record in developing talented young cricketers who have achieved county, regional and national recognition.  Our Junior Cricket Section is at the very heart of what Ansty CC looks to introduce young people to cricket and achieve their potential through playing the game.

Our objective is to foster a happy, safe and unpressurised environment where children can develop a love for the game that they can take through life and along the way produce the next generation recreational cricketers.  To this end the Club offers a comprehensive cricket programme including participation in Sussex Junior Leagues and other competitions leagues together with winter and summer coaching programmes.  Our age groups start at Under 8, run right through to Under 17 and then there is a clear development pathway into Senior cricket.

Our junior training and coaching programme is developed and overseen by our Club Coach, Jake Wilson, who works with ECB level 1 and 2 coaches to deliver the coaching programme.  Training and coaching are run throughout the year with a 5 week winter programme (from January) and then a 14 week summer programme (from late April).    The Club also run cricket camps throughout the season, and we plan to run further camps in 2022.  Further details on the training and coaching programme can be found here.
