Senior Cricket

Ansty Cricket Club has a variety of men’s teams to suit all abilities and motivations playing in a variety of leagues and competitions. Details of our teams, their captains and how to get in touch are outlined below.

First XI

Our 1st XI play in the Third Division (East) of the Sussex Cricket League. Their immediate goal is to secure promotion to the Second Division in advance regaining promotion to the Sussex Premier League.

Captain: Jake Wilson (Head Coach) will lead the side for a third season having captained in 2021/2.  Jake is currently coaching with Sutherland CC in Sydney Grade Cricket and will return to Ansty in early April for his fourth season to lead the 2023 campaign.

Second XI

Ansty’s 2nd XI play in the Division 7 (Central) of the Sussex Cricket League having been relegated in 2022.  Having secured promotion back in 2018 their ambition is to secure an early return to Division 5 (Central).

Captain:  George Martin Takes the reins of the 2nd XI this seson.

Third XI

Our 3rd XI competes in Division 9 (Central) of the Sussex Cricket League.  Having achieved promotion in 2019 the team finished mid-table in 2021 and in 2022 just above the relegation places.

Captain: Having several skippers taking charge during 2022, Sofie Cawley takes the reins as captain for 2023.

Fourth XI

In 2022 the 4th XI will play in Division 11 (Central South) of the Sussex Cricket League.  Having been relegated in 2021 the 4ths are looking to secure promotion back into the higher division at the first opportunity..

Captain: Simon Martin has been the long standing captain.

Social Cricket

The Club also play Wednesday evening matches and occasional Sunday afternoon games.
